About RECSIE

本研究コンソーシアムは、日本の高等教育の国際化とグローバル人材育成に貢献し、大学の枠組みを超えて以下のような研究課題を推進していくために、2014年1月に設立されました。

  • 地球市民・グローバル人材育成と学習成果分析に関する研究
  • 大学国際化と国際戦略にかかわる組織（機関）およびリーダーシップに関する研究
  • 世界の留学交流および留学生受入れ・送出し政策などの比較研究
  • 外国成績・資格評価（FCE）とFCEにかかわる国際連携に関する研究
  • 国際的人材移動に対応した学修歴証明の電子化とマイクロクレデンシャルに関する研究
  • 国際的な大学間連携、教育交流を促進するための制度、システムの研究
  • COILをはじめ、オンラインを活用した多様な学びの形態にかかわる研究
  • 留学生と日本人学生が協働学習する国際共修にかかわる研究

また、上記の研究成果を活かし、大学において国際教育に携わる教職員を主な対象とするセミナー、研究集会、研修ツアーなどを企画・実施しており、2018年からは国際教育夏季研究大会（SIIEJ：Summer Institute on International Education, Japan）を主催しております。こうした取り組みにより、国際教育交流に関する研究成果と専門知識の共有をはかり、専門家のネットワークを形成していきます。また、同じ目的をもつ海外の国際教育専門機関とも連携をすすめてまいります。

RECSIE was established in January 2014 to contribute to the internationalization of higher education in Japan and the development of global human resources. Additionally, RECSIE aims to promote the following research topics beyond the interests of individual universities:

  • Research on global human resources development and learning outcomes analysis
  • Comparative research on worldwide student exchange, and student intake and dispatch policies
  • Research for the promotion of sustainable international education
  • A comparative study of theories and practices of Foreign Credential Evaluation (FCE)
  • Research on digitalization of academic credentials including digital badges and micro-credentials in response to cross-border human resource mobility
  • Research on the evaluation of organizations and institutions concerned with university internationalization and international strategy
  • Research on various online learning forms and methodologies, including COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning)
  • Research on Intercultural Collaborative Learning for Japanese and international students

Based on the results of the research, RECSIE offers seminars, research meetings, and training programs mainly for faculty and staff at international divisions of universities and colleges. Since 2018, we have hosted the Summer Institute on International Education, Japan (SIIEJ). Through these efforts, we aim to share research findings and expertise in the area of international education and form a network of experts. We also work to promote collaboration with overseas international educational associations that align with our goals.
