国際教育夏季研究大会（SIIEJ）2026は、成功裡に終了いたしました。
2026年8月5日（水）6日（木）に二日間にわたっておこなわれたSIIEJ2026は、過去最高の488人の会場参加（オンライン参加は約145人）を得て、無事に終了いたしました。会場を提供いただきました桜美林大学（新宿キャンパス）の関係者の皆様に深く感謝申し上げます。また、実行委員、セッションやワークショップの登壇者、オープニングイベントのゲストの皆様には、多大なご協力をいただき、誠にありがとうございました。今年の大会は、「オールジャパンの国際教育プラットフォーム構築を目指して」をテーマに、文科省高等教育局の佐藤邦明参事官（国際担当）、ジャーナリストの増谷文生さん、国会議員5名を招聘した政策パネルなどを実施いたしました。現在、アンケートなどを集計しております。詳細の報告サイトは10月ごろまでに公開させていただきます。
なお、2027年のSIIEJは神田外語大学で開催する予定です（正式な日程は未定ですが、2027年8月3日・4日を候補日として検討しております）。
来年は千葉・幕張で再会いたしましょう。引き続き、よろしくお願い申し上げます。
Summer Institute on International Education, Japan 2026 (SIIEJ 2026) Concludes Successfully.
Summer Institute on International Education, Japan 2026 (SIIEJ 2026), held over two days on August 5 (Wednesday) and 6 (Thursday), 2026, has successfully concluded with a record-high 488 participants attending in person and approximately 145 participating online.
We would like to express our deepest gratitude to everyone at J. F. Oberlin University’s Shinjuku Campus for providing the venue. We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to the members of the Organizing Committee, as well as all presenters of the sessions and workshops and the guests of the Opening Event, for their invaluable support and cooperation.
Under this year’s theme, “Towards the Creation of an All-Japan Platform for International Education,” the conference featured a range of programs, including a policy panel that brought together five members of the National Diet, as well as Mr. Kuniaki Sato, Counsellor for International Affairs at the Higher Education Bureau of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), and journalist Fumio Masutani.
We are currently compiling the results of the post-conference survey and other feedback. A detailed report on the conference is scheduled to be published on our website around October.
Please note that SIIEJ 2027 is scheduled to be held at Kanda University of International Studies in Chiba. While the official dates have not yet been finalized, August 3–4, 2027, are currently being considered as candidate dates.
